Jung Hae In and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo showed great chemistry even though it was the first time they met in the Snowdrop series. They also revealed about the fun behind the scenes in a recent interview.
Snowdrop tells the love story between Lim Soo Ho (Jung Hae In) and Eun Yeong Ro (Jisoo BLACKPINK). Aired in 16 episodes, this drama was directed and written by Jo Hyun Tak and Yoo Hyun Mi who previously had success through Sky Castle.
After undergoing filming and getting to know each other more deeply, Jung Hae In and Jisoo claimed to find similarities between themselves and the characters they played.
Soo Ho is a man who will protect the people he cares about, such as the woman he loves, family, or friends. Throughout my acting career, I’ve always respected my family, friends, and colleagues as much as I respect myself. So I think our priorities are the same. ,” said Jung Hae In.
“Yeong Ro always tries his best to lighten the mood when he’s with other people. I think we both have innocent and fun personalities? We’re similar in that regard,” said Jisoo with a laugh.
Even so, both of them also face their own challenges when starring in Snowdrop. Jung Hae In and Jisoo also admitted that they talked a lot with the director about the difficulties they were experiencing.
“I discussed a lot with the director about the balance of characters that Soo Ho must maintain because he is not alone in facing this, the woman he loves is also going through difficult times with him. Jisoo and I discussed this a lot during rehearsals,” said Jung Hae In.
“Throughout the journey from episodes 1 to 16, Yeong Ro went through various experiences and showed various emotions. It was a challenge for me. I thought a lot about how to portray his character as naturally as possible, because this trait is very different from mine,” concluded Jisoo.
