Black Shark 4S Pro Returns to the Top of AnTuTu Testing in December 2021

  • Share

AnTuTu has released its monthly chart of the best performing Android devices, and for the third time in a row, the Black Shark 4S Pro is back at the top. This flagship gaming smartphone has been at the helm since October 2021.

As we all know, the Black Shark 4S Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset from Qualcomm, which is paired with 16 GB of RAM. Along with that, AnTuTu also released a list of midrange smartphones, where the competition is tougher, but vivo managed to take the hot seat through the iQOO Z5.

The performance of the top 10 flagship smartphones does not have a device powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, because AnTuTu admits that there is not enough data. The hope, of course, is that the Moto Edge X30 and Xiaomi 12 Pro will be in first place next month.

The reason is, in determining this ranking, AnTuTu must be able to collect quite a lot of tested devices (at least 1,000 units are needed to go through AnTuTu) to get an average score. So, it is appropriate that next month will be even more interesting with the presence of Moto Edge X30 and Xiaomi 12 Pro.

Meanwhile, we also see that the OPPO Find N slips in the 5th position. This is due to GPU optimization and heat dissipation issues. After all, it’s the only foldable device, much bigger than the other 9 devices in the ranking list.

Another thing that matters is that the user interface is specific to a particular form factor, and after all, the AnTuTu score is the sum of the four main components actually tested, namely CPU, GPU, user interface, and memory.

Meanwhile, there is not much variety in the middle class field. Noted, 9 of the top 10 smartphones come with the Snapdragon 700G series chipset. The reason why the iQOO Z5 is superior to the Honor 60 Pro, although there is a slight difference in the chipset used, is the memory factor.

Yes! We can see that the iQOO Z5 has used UFS 3.1 technology for its internal storage. Indeed, UFS 3.1 is a technology that is so commonly used by a number of smartphone manufacturers in designing flagship devices.

AnTuTu reveals that the raw numbers for the top 10 midrangers are pretty slim. This can also be seen from the performance in real life. Therefore, the competition is so fierce. Major changes are expected to occur in the second half of 2022 when chipset manufacturers introduce platforms with actual new CPU clusters.
