Become a WBC Champion, Ongen Saknosiwi’s Presentation for a Sick Mother

VIVA – Indonesian boxer Ongen Saknosiwi has completed his task of winning the WBC Asia Boxing Council Continental featherweight title belt (57.1 kg) on ​​March 4. He has now returned to his homeland and wants to show his devotion to his parents.

Ongen looked stunning when he beat Rattakorn Tassaworn in the duel. He managed to win by knockout in the fourth round.

The day after the match, Ongen immediately returned to Indonesia. Arriving in Jakarta, he had to undergo quarantine which was completed on 7 March.

After the quarantine process was over, Ongen had returned to his unit in the Indonesian Air Force. When confirmed, he said that this victory was for his sick mother.

“Maybe after this match or the result of this match, I want to take my mother to the hospital in Ambon City,” said the fighter nicknamed ‘The Hawk’.

Victory over Rattakorn makes the 28-year-old boxer still maintain his perfect record in the professional boxing ring. So far, he has won 9 duels in which 8 of them ended by KO.

“In the fourth round, indeed I tried to knock him down with a left hook as a body shot because we have studied the opponent’s fighting style with the coaching team,” said Ongen.
