VIVA – Unexpected conditions experienced by a ski athlete from Finland Remi Lindholm. He was in unbearable pain as his vitals froze during the Men’s 50km Cross-country Ski race at the Beijing Olympics.
The competition was held on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Shortened to 30 km due to strong winds and difficult conditions.
Lindholm finished in 28th position. The race itself was conducted under extremely cold conditions, so the first race was delayed by an hour.
From 50 km shortened to 30 kilometers. This was done to anticipate things that would not happen to the participants.
“You can guess which body part was a little frozen when I finished,” Lindholm said rollingstone.comMonday 21 February 2022.
“It was one of the worst competitions I’ve ever been in. It’s just about fighting to qualify,” he added.
It is known, this is not the first time Lindholm has suffered such an injury. He also left the Ruka World Cup last November with his penis frozen.
