Attending KOI’s 70th Anniversary, PRSI Chairman Ready to Answer KOI’s Challenge

VIVA – Chairperson of the Executive Board of the All-Indonesian Swimming Association (PB PRSI), Anindya Novyan Bakrie, was also present at the celebration of the International Olympic Committee (KOI/NOC Indonesia) anniversary which was held at Jetski Indonesia Academy, Ancol, Jakarta, Saturday 12 March 2022.

At that moment, Anindya admitted that she was ready to answer the challenge of the General Chair of KOI, Raja Sapta Oktohari, to regularly score international achievements.

“In the future, we will welcome many events, including the 2023 World Beach Games, in which a number of numbers are aquatic, including sea water polo and open water. We also encourage PRSI to be more active on the international stage,” Oktohari told reporters.

Oktohari gave the challenge to PRSI considering that aquatic is one of Indonesia’s leading sports that regularly makes achievements. For example, swimming is one of the leading sports in the country at every SEA Games and Asian Games.

One of Indonesia’s proud aquatic achievements was at the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines when the men’s water polo team successfully broke Singapore’s dominance and won the gold medal for the first time in 56 years.

In addition, swimming is also quite diligent in representing Indonesia at the Olympic stage. And next year, Indonesia will also host the World Beach Games, some of which are under the guidance of PRSI.
