Apriyani/Fadia Cancel Debut at German Open, Women’s Doubles Coach: Competing Standards Have Not Been Reached

INDOSPORT.COM – A new pair of women’s doubles PBSI Apriyani Rahayu / Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti canceled their debut at the German Open 2022.

Apriyani Rahayu is now teamed up with Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti in big tournaments, given Greysia Polii’s plan to retire.

Unfortunately, Apriyani/Fadia will not be able to make their debut in the near future, even though they were originally scheduled to appear in the German Open 2022 tournament on March 8-14.

Reporting from the PBSI release, this turned out to be because Apriyani Rahayu suffered an injury to her right calf a few weeks ago. PBSI’s women’s doubles coach, Eng Hian, assessed that this condition did not meet the standards for playing.

“Apri suffered a right calf injury a few weeks ago but his condition is now gradually improving and has returned to training while undergoing strengthening,” said Eng Hian, who is familiarly called Didi.

“I see that the standard for playing matches has not been achieved based on the results of consultations with the medical team, it is better for Apri not to play in Germany,” added the coach.
