Finally a live-action game franchise adaptation series project Twisted Metal have found the main character. Is the MCU star who just became Captain America, Anthony Mackie who is rumored to have signed a contract to be the main named John Doe in the project owned by PlayStation Productions. He will enter a vehicular battle area set in a post-apocalyptic setting filled with evil and murderous clowns in hopes of seeing his greatest wish come true.
PlayStation Productions chose Mackie for his talent for blending comedy, action, and drama at the same time, something that fits the comedic undertones of the series’ high-octane action variety. Twisted Metal written by a duo of writers Deadpool and ZombielandRhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
In the video game franchise, John Doe is an intelligent milkman but with no memory of where he came from. He gets the chance of a lifetime when he is told that his greatest wish can be granted. All he has to do is deliver a package and his dream of finding a better life will be fulfilled. It’s never been that easy, though, as Doe must send him across a wasteland of destruction with the iconic savage savages and crazy clown in the ice cream truck hunting him down.
This series will tell about a person who is offered a chance for a better life. To get that better life, he must deliver a mysterious package while crossing a post-apocalyptic wasteland. He will be helped by “a cheerful car thief,” and will face “wild robbers driving combat vehicles and other dangers on the road.” The series will also feature Sweet Tooth, the iconic clown driving the ice cream truck from the video game.
Twisted Metal debuted in 1995 for the Sony PlayStation. The game series has spawned several sequels, selling millions of copies worldwide. Sony has long viewed it as a property that can be adapted into other media.
Recently, Mackie starred in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+ and will star in a film project Captain America 4 future. It’s still unknown who the rest of the cast will be for the adaptation Twisted Metalbut it was rumored that Will Arnett, was rumored to be playing Sweet Tooth.
