VIVA – Malaysian men’s singles, Lee Zii Jia successfully advanced to the semifinals of the BWF World Tour Super 300 German Open 2022.
Competing at Westenergie Sporthalle, Zii Jia beat China’s Zhao Jun Peng in two straight games, Friday 11 March 2022.
The 2021 All England champion appeared ferocious from the start of the first game. He launched terrible attacks that cost Zao a point.
Despite putting up a fight, Zhao had a hard time playing Zii Jia’s game. The first game, Zii Jia won 21-12.
After a pause, Zhao tried to get up. He applied pressure after pressure that troubled Zii Jia’s defenses.
However, Zii Jia’s ferocious action was able to make the match fierce.
Continuing to pound, Zii Jia frustrate Zhao’s resistance and won the second game 21-18.
