VIVA – PT. Astra Honda Motor (AHM) maintains its commitment in supporting Indonesian racers to excel at the international level. They have just announced 14 talented young racers who are included in a tiered and continuous coaching program, including those who are members of the Astra Honda Racing Team (AHRT), in Jakarta, Wednesday 23 February 2022.
This is one of AHM’s efforts in regenerating Indonesian racers so that they can continue to make achievements and make Indonesia proud in national and international racing events in the 2022 racing season. This coaching program has not subsided despite the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
General Manager Marketing Planning & Analysis AHM Andy Wijaya said the company’s commitment in terms of the level of racing coaching did not subside, even in a pandemic situation. Through consistency and the right coaching strategy, it is believed that new young racers will be born who are able to become pride for the nation.
“We do not stop accompanying the racers to realize the dreams of young Indonesian racers in order to make the nation’s name proud in the world racing arena. Our enthusiasm and the AHRT racers to give the best for this country, are also expected to inspire other young generations not to be discouraged and realize their dreams,” said Andy in a virtual press conference, Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
In the race held in Europe, AHM fielded one AHRT rider in the FIM JuniorGP World Championship class Moto3-JuniorGP World Championship (formerly FIM CEV-Moto3 Junior World Championship), namely Fadillah Arbi Adhitama. The 16-year-old racer from Purworejo, Central Java is ready to show his capabilities, replacing Mario Suryo Aji who is currently competing in the Moto3 GP world race.

Several world champions had competed in this prestigious European racing event, one of which was Marc Marquez. Arbi himself will stay in Europe to hone his skills and focus on training in order to provide the best results for Indonesia. The opening series of this event will be held in Portugal, May 2022.
Shifting to the Asian scene, AHM’s ranking strategy is focused on several events that are no less prestigious. At the 2022 Asia Talent Cup (ATC), which was also promoted by Dorna Sports (MotoGP promoter), four AHRT riders were prepared to represent Indonesia, namely Veda Ega Pratama, Reykat Yusuf Fadillah, Aan Riswanto, and Muhammad Diandra Trihardika. They are still very young, between 13-15 years, and this will be a new spirit of coaching from an early age.
Meanwhile, in the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC), AHRT will compete in two prestigious classes, Asia Production (AP) 250, and Supersport (SS) 600. Talented racers who previously won many podiums such as Rheza Danica Ahrens, Herjun Atna Firdaus , and M Adenanta Putra ready to compete in the AP250 class. The struggle to make Indonesia proud will also be shown by experienced racers in various racing arenas to the world level, such as Andi Farid Izdihar (Andi Gilang) and Irfan Ardiansyah who will ride the SS600 class racing motorcycle.
