Ahead of the Mandalika MotoGP, 20 World Racers Parade in Jakarta

VIVA – 20 racers of various classes will parade in Jakarta, next Wednesday, March 16, 2022, before leaving for Lombok for the second series of races in the MotoGP calendar next weekend.

The Pertamina Mandalika Circuit will host the Grand Prix of Indonesia on March 18-20, 2022 after the world’s most prestigious motorcycle racing event has been absent for 25 years in Indonesia.

Before heading to the circuit on the southern coast of Lombok Island, big names such as Marc Marquez, Joan Mir, Francesco Bagnaia, Andrea Dovizioso, will bring MotoGP excitement to the capital in a procession that will start and end at the Merdeka Palace.

President Joko Widodo is scheduled to receive the world-class racers at the Palace before joining and riding in the procession with the stars.

National racer Mario Aji, who debuted in the Moto3 class this year, as well as Veda Ega Pratama who competed in the Asia Talent Cup, will also enliven the parade with the duet team Pertamina Mandalika SAG; Bo Bendsneyder and Gabriel Rodrigo.

However, last season’s world champion Fabio Quartararo was not on the parade list. The following are the riders who took part in the parade as mentioned in the official MotoGP statement:
