VIVA – Ahead of the inaugural Asian Team Badminton Championships (BATC) 2022, the young players have started training at the Setia City Convention Center, Selangor, Monday 14 February 2022.
The Indonesian players have begun to adapt to the arena of matches that will be followed by eight countries, this was conveyed by the women’s doubles coach, Prasetyo Restu Basuki.
According to the coach, the training in the arena was relatively short, only lasting about an hour, even if it was brief, hoping that the players could immediately adapt to the field, lighting and wind direction.
As reported from the official PBSI website, according to Prastyo, “Today the Indonesian team started the first practice in the main hall. The situation was that the lights were quite bright, while there was also a gust of wind from the air conditioner. Hopefully the players can adapt quickly. However, this setting doesn’t feel like it yet. final. Hopefully tomorrow you will be better.”

This was also conveyed by one of the men’s doubles players, Bagas Maulana, who said that he could try out the match field, as well as know the lighting system and the direction of the wind blowing.
“It’s just that today the field is still being set. So the conditions of the lights and the direction of the wind can definitely change during the game the day after tomorrow. However, at least today we can start adapting,” said Bagus.
