VIVA – Indonesia’s mixed doubles, Adnan Maulana/Crhystine Mychelle Bandaso, made a sweet start to the BWF World Tour Super 300 German Open 2022 after defeating India’s Dhruv Kapila/Gayatri Gopichand Pullela.
Appearing at Westenergie Sporthalle, Tuesday 8 March 2022, Adnan/Mychelle won two straight games 21-19 and 21-19 in 38 minutes.
As a young pair, Adnan/Mychelle performed quite well and continued to be in a superior position throughout the match. They quickly led 4-2 early in the game.
However, Dhruv/Gayatri showed high fighting spirit. They were able to equalize 4-4.
Adnan/Mychelle who appeared calm managed to lead 11-8 at the first interval.
After the break, Dhruv/Gayatri tried to push back. As a result, the Indian representative turned to lead 14-13.
