VIVA – The Suzuki Ecstar team again received bad news in the 2022 MotoGP pre-season test at the Mandalika Circuit.

After losing two of his crew to positive COVID-19 on Saturday 12 February 2022, their driver, Joan Mir, suffered from indigestion on Sunday 13 February 2022.

Suzuki reported on Joan Mir’s condition via Twitter. The 2020 MotoGP world champion started feeling unwell since the morning before leaving for the Mandalika Circuit.

He was then examined by dr. Michele Zasa who is also the head of Clinica Mobile.

With symptoms of abdominal pain and vomiting, dr. Zasa suspects that Joan Mir has food poisoning. For a while, the Spaniard has been given drugs.

As a result, Joan Mir missed the third day of testing on Sunday 13 February 2022.

“Joan Mir suffered from digestive problems this morning, with symptoms of abdominal pain and vomiting. Dr. Michele Zasa from Clinica Mobile suspects this is due to food poisoning,” wrote Suzuki Ecstar on his official Twitter account.
