5 Important Facts on this Ghost Doctor, deserve attention.
It turns out that there are a number of important things that happen in the lives of the main characters, and the people around them.
1. Seung was never a ghost coma
About Go Seung Tak (Kim Bum) being able to see ghosts is no longer a surprise. However, the audience just found out that he had been a coma ghost too. The story, starting with little Seung Tak (Cho Yi An) fell into the lake and drowned. His father tried to help by putting the life jacket he was wearing on Seung Tak’s body. The two then floated to the surface and were immediately rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, Seung Tak’s father’s life was not saved.
The ghost of little Seung Tak tried to touch his father’s body, but couldn’t. He cried seeing his father lying stiff. At the same time, Seung Tak’s body is also in critical condition. This is where the ghost of Seung Tak meets the ghost of Tess (Sung Dong Il), who want to go to the afterlife.
Tess chose not to go with the angels to the afterlife in order to save the life of little Seung Tak. He then possessed Ban Tae Sik (Park Chul Min) and managed to save Seung Tak.
2. Tess’ origins are revealed
Tess is a ghost who has lived in Eunsang Hospital for 20 years. However, it was only recently that his life was revealed. He used to be a cardiothoracic surgeon at the hospital. Among her fellow doctors, Tess is known as a hard worker who always tries to help patients. Her daughter was upset that her father cared more about the patient than his own family. Until then he died of exhaustion from work.
During her lifetime, Tess became good friends with Tae Sik who now serves as one of the leaders at the hospital. Tess’ real name is Oh Joo Myung and her picture when she was a doctor hangs on the hospital wall. After becoming a ghost, Tess often possessed doctors, including Cha Young Min (Rain) to help the patient. He told me that his job as a doctor made him not have the heart to leave patients without treatment.
3. Oh Soo Jeong is Tess’ grandson
Oh Soo Jeong (Son Naeun) is close friends with Seung Tak and becomes an intern at the same hospital. He wanted to be a cardiothoracic surgeon because he wanted to be a doctor like his grandfather. Soo Jeong’s mother disagrees with her decision, fearing that her daughter will suffer the same fate as her grandfather.
When her grandfather’s ghost helped little Seung Tak, little Soo Jeong (Jeong Yoon Ha) saw it in person. Previously, Soo Jeong, who had a high fever, saw her grandfather’s ghost at the funeral home and followed her figure to the hospital. There, Soo Jeong sees her grandfather possess Tae Sik to save a child in the ER.
As an adult, Soo Jeong can no longer see her grandfather’s ghost. Tess also tells Seung Tak not to tell Soo Jeong about his whereabouts at the hospital. It’s just that, by possessing the janitor, Tess always encourages her granddaughter, when she has difficulties at work.
4. Se Jin notices the presence of Young Min’s ghost
Young Min’s ghost can’t keep on lying to Jang Se Jin (Uee). Young Min who possessed Seung Tak to approach Se Jin often forgot that he was in Seung Tak’s body. Several times he slipped into a moment that only Se Jin and Young Min knew. This incident gradually invites Se Jin’s suspicion. Plus, Seung Tak never talked about the ghost of Young Min who had been watching Se Jin all this time.
Out of curiosity, Se Jin then finds out about Seung Tak through Soo Jeong. He just found out that Seung Tak does not have a girlfriend. That means, the woman he promised to become a cardiothoracic surgeon is actually Young Min’s memory of being with Se Jin.
Se Jin invites Seung Tak to have dinner together and orders chicken. And, Seung Tak eats voraciously, even though Soo Jeong says he can’t eat chicken because it makes him choke. This makes Se Jin sure that he is dealing with Young Min.
5. Min Ho harms Seung Tak and Young Min
Jang Min Ho (Lee Tae Sung) is still chasing Se Jin so that his half sister will give up the inheritance. He visits Se Jin to the hospital and forces her to give him a thumbprint as a sign that he is willing to give up the inheritance. Se Jin refuses the request and puts up a fight. Luckily, Seung Tak and Young Min quickly helped Se Jin, so Min Ho immediately left the hospital.
However, he didn’t just give up. He follows Se Jin everywhere he goes, only to find him alone with Seung Tak. Min Ho threatens Se Jin will hurt Seung Tak, if he still refuses to give his inheritance. Before Se Jin can alert Seung Tak of Min Ho’s threat, a motorcyclist suddenly hits Seung Tak so hard that he faints and Young Min’s ghost weakens, having been thrown from Seung Tak’s body.
