VIVA – Pelita Jaya’s match against Satya Wacana Salatiga had to be postponed because two players were affected by COVID-19. The match was originally known to be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022.
The two players affected by COVID-19, namely, Govinda Julian and Fernando Fransco Manansang, experienced flu and cold symptoms.
Several other Pelita Jaya players are also under special supervision from the ILB doctoral team, as reported by iblindonesia.
Actually, the Pelita Jaya players did PCR on January 26, 2022, with very satisfactory results, but on January 28, when they came to Bandung and did the second screening, the players had to wait for the results to come out before carrying out activities.
After the test results came out on Sunday morning, where both Fernando and Govinda’s players tested positive, then Pelita Jaya’s players carried out a PCR test again on Sunday Afternoon.
“The Pelita Jaya vs Satya Wacana match had to be postponed. We have to wait for the PCR test results from Pelita Jaya,” said IBL President Director Junas Miradiarsyah. The test results did come out a little longer because of the increasing number of Covid-19 cases recently.
“Thus, the two matches earlier today, Sunday, January 30, have been postponed. Apart from Pelita against Satya Wacana, the Indonesia Patriots vs. NSH Mountain Gold match has also been postponed,” Junas explained.
